The Importance of Consciousness in BodyTalk

One of the most insightful and powerful modules of BodyTalk is Consciousness. What is that?

The simplest and most common definition would include being awake and responsive to our environment.

In BodyTalk, we use the concept of an iceberg as a metaphor for consciousness. The conscious mind is the tip of the iceberg that represents what we know about ourselves and what we think we believe.

Yet, the greater underlying mass of the iceberg is the sub-conscious and unconscious minds which represent what we really believe and controls the ongoing maintenance of the physiology of the body.

Thus, the potential for conflict between conscious and sub-conscious minds is huge and can play out physically. BodyTalk looks below the waterline into the greater parts of our minds and identifies fundamental misperceptions about ourselves and how we view and relate to our world.
