Lighten Up, Buttercup

Spring. There's something about the longer days, the sense of rejuvenation as nature bursts forth, that lifts our spirits and gives us renewed energy.

But not for all of us.

September falls at a tough time in the calendar. The year is three quarters done, and many of us have reached that stage of 'just hanging in'. We're carrying the weight of the long months, their baggage and their dramas.

What a shame to miss out on the buoyancy of green shoots, blossoms and bird song after a drab and dark winter.

So here's the thing. Winter is a period for things to die off, yet it is often characterised by holding on to issues long past their sell by date. Are you staying in the long miserable season of winter? Are you hanging onto grudges, resentment, fear?
