Body and Mind: The Role of Emotions in Wellness

— by Fiona Coward —

Your emotions play an enormous role in promoting or limiting your own wellness.

BodyTalk works around six basic emotions: Anger, Fear, Grief, Worry and Joy/Sadness and the shades in-between, all of which form part of who we are. I'd also like to highlight Guilt and Resentment as having a major impact on wellness.

However, when these become excessive or deficient, they have the power to disrupt the functioning of our bodies. What does this mean? Every organ, endocrine and body part has an emotion associated with it.

For example, Worry is associated with the stomach and spleen. Excessive worry will have a negative impact on the functioning of these organs. Have you ever had a stomach ache when you're extremely worried about something?

BodyTalk balances these emotions for you, allowing your body to function optimally, to process the emotions in a healthy manner and release them.

If you are constantly in emotional turmoil, BodyTalk is the perfect, gentle way to settle your emotions and bring you back to your centre.

However, sometimes we are unaware of emotional trauma stored within our bodies. Perhaps it was something we experienced as a child and we were unable to identify what we felt or weren't allowed to express it.

Other times, we think we have dealt with an emotion (such as grief) but it is still present, buried deep and creating weakness and instability within us.

How do you know if this is the case? Your body knows and BodyTalk will relay the message to you and release these from you. It's that powerful.

BodyTalk peels away a lifetime of patterning that prevents us from seeing our true selves. These patterns can block our ability to change, grow and thrive.

When you sign up for my newsletter, you'll receive a free Health & Wellness Checklist to evaluate your own state of wellness.

Or book a BodyTalk session with me to get a helping hand in releasing toxicity from your body and mind. I'm in Somerset West, Western Cape. The new, lighter you, will thank you.

“Fiona's practice was highly recommended to me by someone whose health I had seen solidly improve. I was not certain what I needed, except to be 'unstuck'. My first two F5 BodyTalk sessions with Fiona really boosted me up a level. Phenomenal difference before and after. I am hugely grateful.”

“BodyTalk has taught me to listen better to my physical body. I often wonder if living in one’s head and not paying attention to the messages of one’s body is a cause of many of our health problems. If you seek wellness, I encourage you to listen to what your body may be telling you...”

“The body is an amazing intuitive machine. What I like about BodyTalk is that the practitioner facilitates communication between the client and their body. The body knows exactly what it needs to do to correct its imbalances and to heal itself...”
